According to Webda, Governor of Razavi Khorasan said that the number of hospital beds in the province has increased by 30 percent under the Prudence and Hope [i.e. the incumbent] Government. “More than 2,000 hospital beds were opened in the province during this period, and another 1,200 are under construction. Providing one thousand beds is also being pursued in accordance with the signed memorandums of understanding . With the efforts made, we hope that we cab offer the best possible health services in our province which is emblazoned with the name of Emam Reza,” said Alireza Rashidian in inauguration ceremony of 160 Razavi Khorasan healthcare projects, attended by Minister of Health and Medical Education. He added, “When planning development of healthcare infrastructure, paying [enough] attention to deprived areas is always emphasized. More than 133 billion Tomans has been spent for constructing these 160 projects, most of which are built in deprived and rural areas, reflecting the government’s attention and commitment to all parts of the society.” “There is much to do in healthcare, and partnership of private sector and benefactors can play a significant part in addressing shortcomings in this area. The healthcare issue is not merely limited to sanitation and treatment - having a healthy society requires collaboration and cooperation of all relevant organizations. Despite having numerous healthcare projects in Razavi Khorasan, our debt to the medical community is no more than the national average. With the follow ups made, we hope to be able to make more satisfactory payments to the medical community, nurses, and laboratories,” he continued. Today, 160 healthcare projects were inaugurated in Razavi Khorasan province, with Minister of Health attending the ceremony. Dr. Hashimi, Minister of Health and Medical Education arrived in Mashhad this morning and was greeted by governor of Razavi Khorasan. |
