Manager of Organizational Development and Administrative Transformation of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences said: “Islamization of university is necessary for an Islamic society; otherwise, society’s move toward transcendental Islamic, humanistic goals will face challenges. Depending on its intellectual foundations, Islamization of the university requires various strategies. Without explaining intellectual foundations, it is not possible to select the right strategy”. Mohsen Sadeghpour said: “therefore a study titled ‘a probe into organizational structure and process with respect to conformity to Islamic criteria’ was conducted because strategies can affect processes and structures in an organization. With regard to the organizational structure and processes existing in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and strategies defined by the universities Islamization document, deficiencies in the organizational structure and processes of the university can be detected. It is worth noting that unfortunately processes have not yet been documented in the university and precise duties are not defined for the structure”. Sadeghpour said: “to explore and display weaknesses in the structure and processes of the university to implement the universities Islamization document, each strategy and action is matched to duties of various headquarters managements (based on the new chart of the university) of the university and the people in charge of implementing these strategies have been identified. If measures related to strategies of the universities Islamization document are included in the job description of managements, the related structures and processes pertaining to strategies will be evident. The results of this research are presented in four sections: strategies related to cultural-educative, educational, research-technology and management systems. According to this study, 7 strategies belong to higher-order organizations and for the rest of 49 strategies the related managements have been identified”. He said: “it has been suggested that processes related to Islamization document that are not documented be documented with an approach to Islamize the university and the documented processes be improved in line with Islamizing the university”. |
