In order to perform, propagate and disseminate basic and applied research in the field of women related issues with the main goal of maintenance and promotion of their health level leading to family and society health, and according to this basic document research center for women fertility and infertility health known as women research center in this document is established in MUMS with the following goals:

• Providing proper research conditions for academic staff, other researchers and support applied women research

• Setting research goals through emphasizing fulfillment of real education and research need of women health especially in HSR and community health fields

• Aiding scientific production in fertility-infertility health and attempting to present and convey information and avoiding parallel research works and extra costs

• Attempting to set women health priorities based on requirements of faculties

• Making communications between basic and applied research

• Continued communication with industry sector to fulfill therapeutic and research needs and enhancing financial status of the center

Responsibility and authority of research center scientific council

• Policy making, compiling and approval of research policy of the center according to general policies of MOHME, university and medical college

• Surveys and approval of presented research plans by all related faculties (internal glands, gynecology, urology, psychiatrics, laboratory, genetics, fertility health and oncology, internal medicine and food sciences and hygiene)

• Survey and compilation of annual budget in framework of allotted resources with observation of legal rules

• Preparation and compilation of reports of research decisions and periodic evaluation of annual function of research center

• Policy making for internal affairs of research center

• Survey and approval of employment of research academic staff and research experts in research center

• Presenting research council to research plan conductors

Research center head

• Research center head is chosen for three years by scientific council with minimum associate professor rank with at least five research articles in valid journals and an English article in the past three years. They can be reelected.

Responsibility and authority of head of research center

• Management and conduct of center functions to better perform related affairs in the framework of basic document and legal rules

• Execution of policies and directives of scientific council of research center

• Supervision of good conduct of research plans based on their deadlines

• Issuing circulars of scientific deputy and agents of scientific research center according to basic document regulations and related directives

• Signing of approved contracts of scientific council, financial and administrative documents according to rules

Research center academic staff

There are two types of academic staff in research center:

• Related members including MUMS academic staff

• Dependent members including academic staff of other home and abroad academic staff

Financial resources of research center

• Government funds

• Financial resources of industry sector cooperation

• Aids and presents of individual and legal entities

Dissolution conditions of the center

In case the center is not able to function for any reason, its dissolution proposal is presented by head and at least two members of scientific council. If four fifth of the scientific council members agree and chief experts board of the University approve, the center is disbanded.

In case the center is disbanded, all forms of its property will belong to MUMS.
