History and Goals:

 

Hospital infection refers to infection that is in the hospital after admission the patient is caused to the patient's condition at the time of admission and not suffer the latency is not it.
Hospital infections are one the problem of century cases that lead to increased mortality, costs, length of hospital stay. Currently in developed countries the infection rate of hospitalization and 10% of cases in developing countries 20% - 25% is estimated. Rate of hospital infections in a health center - treatment shows the quality of services in the center.
In this regard subspecialty hospital infection control committee of Dr Sheikh began its activities since 2001

Committee goals:

• Select appropriate methods and planning to control hospital infections

• Improve the quality of health services - therapy

• Reduced recovery time and reduce the cost of treatment

 

Sub Committee groups:

 

1) Sterilization Office:
Director: Ms. Nsybh Shariati (Nursing)
Objectives: Reform and improve the sterilization process equipment.
Reform and improve the quality control of sterilization processes Game.

2) Collection and disposal of hospital waste:
Director: Mr. housemaid (BA in Environmental Health)

Purpose: 1) correction and supervision of collection, planning and safe disposal of hospital waste

3) Laundry:
Director: Ms. Aryan race
Objective: control and supervision of all processes related to Laundry

4) Facilities:

Director: Mr. Chalaky (Electronic Technician )
Objective: to reform the facilities; water and wastewater equipment in connection with the Hospital Infection Control

5) Nutrition and kitchen:
Director: Mr. Azadi (Nutrition expert)
Objective: to reform the warehouse processes; preparation and distribution of food in the hospital in connection with the control of hospital infections and diseases transmitted through water and food

 

6) Foreign Service:
Director: Mr. Nabi
Purpose: 1) monitoring units and provide the above requests and follow-up requests of each unit

Objective: to monitor all matters related to infection control in the relevant sections

8) Health Expert:
Director: Ms. Danesh (expert midwifery)
Purpose: 1) vaccination and personnel Immunization
2) follow-up in infectious diseases and provide relevant statistics of the Health Center

The hospital infection control progress is as follows:

• change and improve hospital food distribution space (replace flag - wall sections - hand washing area and painting of this space)
• Improving the ICU entrance and partition (with code shoes, sandals and coat hanger) in this section to control entry and exit
• Additional lengths of pipe for ventilator device
• Correction process of disinfecting equipment
• Patients follow-up with H1N1 and preparing equipment for the patients
• Preparation of masks for all staff and physicians
• Invite technical management for the insertion of negative pressure in isolated rooms in each section
• Invite Provincial Health Center (The Occupational Health and medicine work) to visit part of chemotherapy for follow-up process
• Follow-up of patients isolated
• Correction process in CSR sterilization
• Invite the management of technical evaluation and correction process oriented operating room ventilation
• Invite Medical Physics of the University for radiation meter lamps
• Improving the process waste air bags
• Establishing regular training classes and services
• Form 3 influenza classes for personnel and specialists
