EEG
EEG unit has begun to work in this hospital since 83/2/26 . This unit is directed by an obstetrics associate of arts who has passed an EEG course.

On arrival, the patients are measured based on age and weight .
Usually all hospital patients, infants and children are under 7 years . Infants should be fully awake all morning, until the syrup by unit to be fed to them. Based on weight of the patient syrup will be given in cc. All children under 5 years would be sleep by the syrup and then the eeg is done.
Children 5-7 years of non cooperative and mentaly retarted patients who are above 7 years will be unconcious by chlorate hydrate syrup and then eeg is done.
Voltergraph system is used in this center. Optical instigation is used to take EEG strip in this unit and because patients should be without movement during that time, chloral hydrate is used to sedate patients.
Patients with epilepsy or spasm and patients with nervous disorders are using this center. This hospital is a sub specialized and patients are admitted from infancy to 1.5 year of age and reception is done everyday for 6 hours.
This center has two application on the average in a day, and for each one about half an hour or one hour is spent. Electro-encephalogram are done for children who are examined and referred by a children neurologist.
