Dr. Farsad, Dr. Pour Ahmad, Dr. Nourbakhsh, Dr. Azma, Dr. Raghib, Dr. ShaFaee

 

 

Dr. Seyyed Morteza Nourbakhsh:

 

He was born in Birjand in 1934. He passed the primary and secondary education in Shokatiye School. He studied Medicine in Mashhad’s Medical University from 1955 to 1962. From 1976 –1977, by using world’s hygienic organization, he passed MPH course of hygienic in Anvers’s tropical Medicine Institute in Belgium. He performed his duty in Birjand as a supervisor of Birjand’s Imam hospital since 1963 to 1980. He was sent to Mashhad in 1980 and is working in Imdad’s hospital.

He was the chief of Dr. Sheikh’s hospital in 1983. This hospital was directed as polyclinic but then changed into pediatric hospital without any location improvement and having essential equipments. It was the only hospital where not only accepted patients under 5 years old affected to gastroenteritis and intestinal diseases but also all sick children were referred to it from different parts of Iran, and sometimes because of lack of bed, 3 or 4 patients were hospitalized on one hospital bed and unfortunately the hospital statistics of mortality was high.

In the middle of imposed war and its hard conditions, the officials tried to use those special equipments with help of respectful supervisors of health and therapy Ministry. This hospital was developed by constructing the foundation of ORS unit and advertising about therapy of intestinal diseases and people who didn’t believe oral therapeutic serums were informed about its effects and merits therefore the pressure on therapeutic system of hospital was decreased. A land near hospital was transferred to hospital by help of respectful mayor. Specific transformation was set up for providing electricity of hospital.

The benefactors of Sarvar institute agreed during their visits with the construction and development of the hospital. Therapeutic and service parts were developed and the statistics of morality was decreased sensibly. He is proud of working for dear sick children until 1987. He honestly served the children by cooperating the respectful personnel of hospital. Today’s hospital of Dr. Sheikh is working with development of essential equipments and with its being transferred to medical university, now it's one of important therapeutic and scientific centers of our country.
