Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS)

  SRAM is the only approved Student Scientific Research Organization of MUMS which is almost completely run by students.

  SRAM is a subunit of Vice Chancellor of Research at MUMS.

  The main parts of SRAM:

T Manager (an academic staff)

T Director (a student)

T Councils (one main student & two research council):

ef Main Student council: The members of main student council are elected students from all faculties. This council is the main Lawmaker of SRAM.

ef Research council: The Research council members are Academic staffs who have high Research motivation with students collaboration. This council accepts research proposals which at least one of Conductors is a Student.

T Research:

ef Studies and researching Groups:

SRAM has various research groups which students based on their motivation can select their topic of project and follow their research under supervision of academic staffs.

Also academic staffs may offer their research topic to SRAM and volunteers start to working on, from writing proposal till end of project. The main research groups which are active right now are: cancer, hepatitis, eye, toxicology, ….

ef Consulting Group:

The members of this group are students that are expert in research, they help and guide the researchers if they have any problems. Also students` proposals are assessed by this group beforehand discussing in research council.

ef Research Training Group:

SRAM Policy is focused on Training students for Research activities. This Group provides various Workshops for Students that can help them to Start Research. All teachers of Workshops are expert students!

ef Educational Workshops Group:

Useful workshops such as Computer softwares (Microsoft word, PowerPoint), English, French, …

T Publication Unit:

ef Navid-no Journal Group:

Navid-No is a scientific-research journal. This Journal accepts articles that have at least one student as author. Of course all articles will be peer-reviewed before printing. The journal has different parts such as “News in Medical World”.

ef Translation & Publication Group:

Students can Publish Their Book (Written or Translated). This group is the only center that publishes student books for free (financed by vice chancellor of research). Again, all books will be pre-reviewed by students. After being accepted by the reviewers and publication group, it will be published.

T Public-relation Unit:

ef The members of this group help for executing special ceremonies; congresses, seminars and …

Group members publish SRAM news in a special paper called “Arad” and introduce SRAM to all students.
