Ethic Committee
Mashhad University of Medical Sciences
To reach the high morality standards in our medical researches, to respect human rights and to respect religious and cultural values in medical sciences research, Regional Medical Ethics Committee were formed in every medical university across the country.
Goals
1- Considering religious, legal and ethical values in all the epidemiologic, clinical and basic sciences' research
2- Protecting human subjects against possible risks of study
3- Protecting rights of subjects, researchers and research institutes along with considering Islamic and cultural values in the study
4- Forbidding research activities which are not complying with our Islamic ethics and cultural ethical values
5- Developing culture of using ethical consular in research activities
Ethical Codes for Medical Researches
To develop ethical codes for medical researches we did a literature review under the topic: "Writing ethical and legal values to protect subjects in medical sciences research". The literature review covered many books and articles on the subject's satisfactions, harms and benefits and how to peak subjects. We also considered Nerenberg, Helsingi and Belmont codes. At the end the codes were justified with Islamic laws and Iranian cultures and were approved by country ethical committee.
