U.S. university professor: The nutritional status of the world is not favorable
Dr. Angelo Azzi, a professor at the University of Tufts, said: "The nutritional status of the world is alarming, people are eating, they have bad eating habits and are sleeping too much."
In a conversation with the news agency of the International Congress of Nutrition: From Basic Science Clinical Studies, Professor Angelo Azzi stated: “Lifestyles and nutrition has changed across the world, which has led to many dangers and issues, there should be collaboration regarding this issue by experts and professionals around the world to improve this situation.”
"Attention to improving the nutrition of the world not only improves the community’s health, but also improves the economic situation," he said.
Professor Angelo Azzi said that using some dietary supplements would be a good way to improve these conditions, which is currently in place in some countries, and added: “Some countries in the world face malnutrition and people do not know what to eat and how to eat. The program has been put on the agenda in some countries.”
In response to the question of: “How do you evaluate the nutritional status in Iran?”, the American University Professor described the nutritional status of Iran as appropriate comparing to many countries, and emphasized: “Of course, we should try to improve the nutritional status of the whole world, including Iran.
Regarding the International Congress of Nutrition, he said: “This congress seeks to review practical and operational ways to improve nutrition status in the world and in Iran.”
