Head of Monitoring and Accreditation of Department of Treatment of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stated that three more hospitals will soon be added to the seven hospitals carrying the Health Tourism License. This is while some hospitals have applied to receive the Health Tourism License.
According to WEBDA, regarding the meeting of the Director of Treatment Monitoring of the university and the tourism companies of the province for studying the status of health tourism, Dr. Mohammad Ismael Khayami stated that the health tourism meeting, held in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, was attended by health tourism companies of the province licensed by the Health Tourism Committee of the province.
He stated that this meeting, also attended by the directors and authorities of the Foreign Patients Admission Department who have been licensed the health tourism license by the Ministry of Health, was held for the aim of coordination between these two sectors.
Head of Monitoring and Accreditation of Department of Treatment of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stated that these meetings are aimed at establishing relationships between the hospitals holding the Foreign Patients Admission License and the Health Tourism Companies of the province. He added that these relationships cause more attempt in introducing the therapeutic, diagnostic and medical capacities foreign people in the target countries so that companies can take a more active part regarding attraction of foreign patients.
Dr. Khayami stated that establishment of formal relationship for providing consultancy services, providing planning in the patient treatment plan, entrusting patients to hospitals, taking necessary treatment measures, and delivering patients to the aforementioned companies and returning them to their own country are among the issues requiring more coordination and discussed at these meetings.
He stated that these hospitals gained more familiarity with the Health Tourism Companies and were provided with tasks, activities and other information about the Health Tourism Companies of the province.
Head of Monitoring and Accreditation of Department of Treatment of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences stated that regarding hospitals, issues such as the obtained license, the Health Tourism Departments based in hospitals, and mechanisms provided for hospitals for admission of international patients were explained so that companies were made aware of services in hospitals.
Dr. Khayami stated that this formal relationship will contribute to the reduction of intermediaries, and the stronger this formal relationship among companies and medical centers, the lower the number of intermediaries.
He announced the Health Tourism License being obtained by three hospitals of the university and stated that three other hospitals of the university will soon obtain the Health Tourism License and be added to the seven hospitals holding the Health Tourism License.
