The Analytical Toxicology Laboratory in the Poison Control Center at Imam Reza Hospital, in addition to its diagnostic role in the clinical setting, provides support to the on-going research projects of the Center as well as other university and industrial interested parties. The laboratory support involves the development of new analytical techniques, analyses of samples and analyses of data. Some of the techniques available Include Gas Chromatography, High Performance, Liquid Chromatography and Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry.
The Cellular and Molecular Toxicology Laboratory is a multi-user facility located in Bu Ali (Avicenna) Research Institute, with state-of-the-art instrumentation for conducting cellular, biochemical and molecular studies. Instrumentation in this laboratory and shared on-site facility includes the following: spectrofluorometer, spectrophotometer, HPLC, Biohit micro plate reader, gradient thermo cycler, gel documentation system, sequence typer gel electrophoresis, flow cytometry, stereomicroscopes along with imaging systems, DNA, RNA and protein gel electrophoresis, liquid nitrogen tank, PCR workstation, -140 0C freezer, animal room and cell culture facilities.
