Medical Physics is a branch of applied science which was introduced to Iranian universities in the last two decades. Extensive basic and practical researches are needed to develop this new field in Iran with the goal of improving diagnostic and treatment methods.
Having a few expert in Medical Physics with a few PhD students in this field, pushed us to establish a Medical Physics Research Center. The research center has started its work on 2001, in the BuAli Institute, and includes four labs;
The forth lab was added latter to meet the needs of new physical treatment methods for cancer like photodynamic therapy.
Medical Physics Research Center was approved by MUMS Medical Research Committee for its efforts in doing practical researches and publishing many articles.
We are cooperating with all the related institutes and people in performing practical researches based on the need of our society.
