Mashhad university of Medical Sciences
Intoduction
Until 1992 Faculty of Parasitology and Mycology course were under the group of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department. The group got separated into two independent pathology and laboratory science course. In 2003 Department of Laboratory Medicine was separated to three Microbiology, Virology, Hematology, Blood Bank, Parasitology and Mycology where each group is working independently. Department of Parasitology and Mycology is doing its activities independently with seven faculty members.
The aim of the Department of Parasitology and Mycology is to educate Medical and Paramedical students and related courses in different levels of skill which are approved by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and Research and the Cultural Revolution Headquarters in the fields mentioned above.
