Lung diseases and Tuberculosis Research Center (LTRC) was founded in July 2008 under direct support of Research Chancellor of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS). LTRC is located in pulmonary department of Ghaem Hospital of MUMS.
 
  Aims
  • Promote and facilitate researches on pulmonary diseases and tuberculosis.
  • Close collaboration with other research centers.
  • Develop a research bank for facilitating performance of interested researchers.
  • Encourage and cooperate with medical students in research projects.
  • Provide ongoing education for medical professions and medical students.
  Research interests
  • Airway diseases (chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, Asthma,…)
  • Tuberculosis ( MDR, XDR )
  • Lung cancer
  • Respiratory problems of chemical warfare patients
  • Sleep related disorders
  • Occupational lung diseases
  • Pulmonary function tests
