Importance and necessity of forming single most important aspects of breast cancer and expression:
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Iranian women. The average age of cancer incidence in women is 10 years less than the world average. Over 90 percent of women with breast cancer are married. Most patients have children.
Billions is spent annually treating the condition directly in the country. Heavy load and indirect costs resulting from the disease will be imposed on the governmental and nongovernmental sectors (community).
Practices and methods of disease treatment and follow up are quickly evolving and in progress. Prevention and early detection of disease status is important
Mission:
- Increase patient survival
- Prevention and Early Detection
- Improving quality of life of patients
Main objectives:
- Increasing public and professional awareness
- Developing and building effective outside partnerships
- Create a database including: clinical information, pathologic, treatment and follow-up of patients, biological samples ...
- Provide timely analysis and detection mechanisms
- Modernization and efficient building practices and treatment protocols
- Social and economic costs resulting from any new cases of breast cancer incidence
- Appropriate measures in prevention of breast cancer
- Increased longevity and quality of life of mothers and women in society
- Design and implementation of epidemiological research, basic and clinical community to respond to questions
- Develop and gain cooperation between the part, and international academic
- Education experts and researchers interested in the field of breast cancer studies
Vision: Formation of Breast Cancer Management Center
Formation of this center causes of such goals will be the following:
- Aggregate resources and facilities
- Remove the parallel work
- Increase the efficiency and effectiveness measures
Problems regarding the status of breast cancer in the region:
- lack of awareness towards breast cancer status in public and professional
- being weak cooperation between the part dealing with patient and disease
- Lack of reliable and consistent sources of information and disease status of patients
- lack of clear strategies and screening methods and early diagnosis of breast cancer according to the conditions of society
- lack of clear risk factors of breast cancer in the community
