History

Khatam-al-Anbia (PBUH) Hospital is a research and training center, and has specialized treatment of the ophthalmic ready for full-time professional and treatment patients.

This hospital is the ophthalmology section in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, also in addition to other activities, educational and academic medical center is responsible for training medical students.

In addition, it is the first specialized ophthalmic hospital in khorasan, which is known as one of the best in province too.

Hospital was built by Khatam-al-Anbia (PBUH) Charity and Mr. Reza Hatefi, management in a land area of 13,500 meters. With attention to some problems hospital decision making, decided to construct it in two phases I (5000 m) and II (8500 m).

The first phase of construction cost about 5/1 billion and was ended in 2003.

In the beginning of the year 2004, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences transferred other parts of ophthalmic hospitals to this hospital, focused its specialized ophthalmic research activities under the name of the Khatam-al-Anbia (PBUH) hospital. After this harmonious movement without the need to announce opening of hospital, all patients across the country welcomed the dramatic encounter.

Now it is needed to built the second phase of the hospital. We hope the authorities in cooperation with all relevant organizations start this important matter as soon as possible.
